Yogyakarta Katha

Duration: 10 nights

£2499 per person based on twin share

15th - 27th August 2024

Yogyakarta, Indonesia is named after the Indian city of Ayodhya, the birthplace of the eponymous hero Rama from the Ramayana epic - a perfect setting for Pujya Bapu's Katha* in August 2024.

Join the Maharajah Team as we visit the Prambanan Temple, a 9th Century temple dedicated to the Hindu Trimurti, the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Explore the beauty of nature at the Jomblang Caves, a unique cave system that is a must-visit for anyone seeking adventure and a chance to marvel at the wonders of the Earth.

One of the most popular attractions is undoubtedly the Buddhist temple complex in Magelang, Candi Borobudur. From here we will visit Mount Merapi, an active stratovolcano located on the border between the province of Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

You will also visit world famous waterfalls, including the Sri Gethuk Waterfall in Bleberan Village. The water comes from a limestone embankment river that cuts rock cliffs to form a beautiful waterfall where the water flows into the Oyo River.

This fabulous holiday includes:

  • Flights, 10 nights accommodation at the Marriott Hotel on Bed and Breakfast basis (B/B), and lunch is provided by the Katha organisers (accommodation and Katha are in the same hotel)

Excursions included in this trip of a life time:

  • Visit to Jomblang Caves
  • Borobudur Buddhist Complex
  • Yogyakarta City Tour
